Takk takk! Det nærmer seg stadig en tilfredsstillende tur-konfigurasjon..

Den nye tanken rommer 145 liter, 50 liter mer enn original. Holderen til jerrykanner står på støtfangeren bak, og svinges ut på samme måte som reservehjulsholderen. Med to jerrykanner får jeg da 185 liter totalt, som vil gi en rekkevidde på 12-1300 km om jeg kjører pent. På dårligere vei regner man som regel 2 liter på mila på en Land Rover, men jeg har en nagende følelse av at disse Patrolene er relativt tørste... Vi får se!

...ellers er det vel bare å legge inn en tank til......

har kjørt en del forskjelige av disse bilene, når utvekslingen er riktig , og du er forsiktig med gassen, så går den rett rundt litern, men stor forskjel på 80 og 110 km.

....en lettere indignert Land Rover eier ringte meg forøvrig her om dagen og meldte at så mye fuel hadde 130'n hans aldri brukt. Og siden jeg aldri har eid en Land Rover legger jeg meg paddeflat på dette punktet. Det eneste jeg kan konstatere med sikkerhet er at min Patrol bruker noe i overkant av i meste laget!

Vanntank er omsider skrudd fast. Pumpe og vannslager er koblet, og jeg monterer krane med bryter til pumpen rett ved kjøleskapet (ved venstre bakdør). Trekassen skal huse kjøleskapet, og plasseres i det ledige hullet til høyre på bildet.

Modifisert jerrykanneholder er også montert. Svinger ut som bare rakker'n. Skilt og skiltlys er montert bakpå. Og bilen er ikke fullt så høy som bildet kan gi inntrykk av... Oppjekket forran for bremsemontering (og reservehjulet er egentlig høyre forhjul, satt på for å se hvor langt ut til siden det stikker. Reseervehjulsholderen sitter enda lengre ut på siden enn den originale på bakdøren. Dette for at det skal være plass til to holdere, en på hver side. Da skal det gå akkurat med 2x 35".

Da var snart på 37" ja bruk bare de Warn brederne i gummi, di får du fra BG-Nord eller tilsvarende levrandør, du sliter ut lakken på bilen om du kjører uten noe.

Digger det du gjør med bilen, trur det blir den optimale turbilen dette.. Har du noe formening om hva bilen kommer til å veie med alt utstyret innmontert??

Gøy med turbilbygging, ja... Men det begynner jo å bli mange sene kvelder etterhvert... Skal bli godt å konkludere prosjektene for en periode, og bare bruke! ...om jeg klarer å omstille meg da... Man blir jo på en måte aldri "ferdig".

Vekten har jeg ikke finregnet på, men jeg har jo gjort meg noen tanker. Kjører i alle tilfelle innom vekta på den lokale trafikkstasjonen (etter kontortid... ) slik at jeg har litt mer nøyaktige tall for skiping og slikt.

Tilleggsutstyr:
Roofrack med telt og markise ca 100 kg, jerykanner med holder og fuel ca 50 kg, vinsj ca 40 kg, forbruksbatteri ca 40 kg, vanntank ca 70 kg, kompressor m/tank og utst ca 30 kg, verktøy og reservedeler ??? (har ikke regnet ennå)
Erstattet utstyr (vektTILLEGG):
Større fueltank med ekstra fuel ca 60 kg, 5 stk 35" ca 50 kg (?), hjuloppheng og styring ca 40 kg, ARB støtfangere 50-60 kg

Har kanskje tatt i litt (og regner tankene som fulle (også jerrykanner)) og ser da for meg en ekstra vekt på oppunder 500 kg før personlig utstyr. Totalt regner jeg da med 700 kg +/- 50 ferdig lastet og rigget til tur. TUNGT!! Blir spennende å se det faktiske tallet på vekta.....

Har også fått emnet litt videre på div prosjekter, samt tatt noen bilder.

Har byttet ut det gamle kompaktkameraet (5 år gammelt IXUS 5 Mp) med en splitter ny Nokia med 5 Mp, autofokus og blits ("skulle ha et meget bra kamera"!... ), og bildekvaliteten er LANGT fra det samme som på det gamle kameraet. Dette er altså årsaken til at noen bilder er litt mer groggy. Man kan være heldig å treffe på enkelte bilder, men jevnt over er det ikke i nærheten... Men nå er jo verkstedet ganske mørkt, så jeg håper det blir bedre bilder utendørs når det er lyst.

Men! Til saken. Har følt meg lettere dopet de to siste dagene etter massiv bruk av kontaktlim. Fått lagt på litt stoff for å beskytte treverket og for å gjøre det hele litt penere, samt trukket litt kabler og montert litt smådetaljer.

Ble etter mye frem og tilbake montert på en fot over hjulhuset på høyre side i lasterommet. Tetter eksosklemmen ved brenneren med monteringspasta, og det samme bruker jeg for å tette ved gjennomføringen i karroseriet. Legger nok et lite stykke metallgitter under brenneren rundt eksos og fueltilførsel for beskyttelse og for at ikke ting og tang skal kunne legge seg inntil.

Eksosen ble tatt ut igjennom veggen over fuelpåfyllingen. Var selvfølgelig litt filosofering rundt eksostemperatur vs dieselpåfylling og -lufting, men konklusjonen ble at dette skal gå greit. Blir ikke SÅ varmt, dieselgass ikke så antennelig, og det skal være tilstrekkelig avstand (ser tettere ut på bildet enn det er). Alle rør og slanger (ikke lyddemperen, satser på at den overlever...) får plass under den originale plastkappen som skjermer fuelslangene fra dekksprut.

Eneste utfordringen nå er at det ikke er lange nok ledninger til kontrollpanelet til å få denne frem i kupèen. Noen som vet om det finnes "forlengere" med kontakter som passer rett på?

Ja, ja... Da er det vel bare å pelle seg i verkstedet igjen.... SNX!

Hei!

Har prøvd den litt, men har ikke latt den stå i timevis. Høres ut som om jeg må prøve å la den gå et par timer i helgen for å sjekke om alt tåler varmen.

Regner jo med at det blir litt varmt, men har skrapet vekk alt som minner om asfaltdempemateriale ved gjennomføringen, og slangene ved fuelpåfylling har ca 10 cm klaring e(ller mer). Og skullle nå Murphy komme innom, så tror jeg det verste som skjer er at det smelter hull i slangen (den delen av påfyllingsrøret som kommer nærmest eksosen er av metall). Men jeg hadde nok ikke montert den slik om det hadde vært en bensinbil!!

Om interiøret skulle begynne å ulme har jeg installert optisk brannvarsler ca en meter unna...

Hei igjen, folkens!

Har slurvet litt med oppdateringene i det siste... Sorry! Blir alltid litt mer stress enn man har tenkt når shippingdatoen nærmer seg med stormskritt... Men det har jo hendt litt siste par ukene, selv om det ikke lenger er like hektisk på bilmodifiseringer. Så! Her kommer oppdatering!

Begynner med de siste innleggene om Eber'en: Har testet og kjørt sammenhengende noen timer, og alt ser ut til å fungere etter planen. Blir jo litt varmt, men ikke varmere enn at jeg kan legge hånden (med arbeidshanske) noen cm i metall som ligger rundt eksosslangen. Regner derfor med at dette i hvert fall ikke overstiger ca 100 grader. Varmluften kjører jeg gjennom en 60 mm forvarmerslange fra Biltema. Denne kan jeg enten legge fremover for ekstra varmluft i kupeen (har ikke hatt behov for dette ennå, til tross for kjøring i -30 C), eller at jeg leder slangen ut bakdøren og opp i åpningen til takteltet. Metall rør og gummislanger for dieseltank og luftinger blir ikke så varme at jeg er bekymret, selv etter et par timers kjøring på fullt. Men jeg kommer nok til å følge litt med de første dagene jeg kjører den over mange timer...

Isolerte slanger som tipses om ser helt glimrende ut! Bytter jeg ut blir det nok en slik eller to, men de var jo ikke akkurat gratis... Skal se om jeg kommer over slikt i statene til en litt mer overkommelig pris. Samme gjelder for forlenging av ledningene til kontroll-enheten. Evt får jeg dra fram avbiteren og lage de selv. Venter til inspirasjonen (og litt varmere vær) kommer over meg.

Byttet luftfilter, fuelfilter (ventet med dette til jeg hadde kjørt igjennom mesteparten av fuelen etter første fylling på ny tank..), olje og oljefilter. Ble også en runde med gris-pressa. Oljevalget falt etter litt om og men på Mobil1's 0w-40, og beistet svelgte unna åtte og en halv liter... Resten av dagen gikk med til rydding og pakkking!

Godbilen rygges ut fra verkstedet for siste gang på en lang stund. Nesten litt vemodig, og jeg føler meg ikke akkurat ferdig... Men det gjør man vel aldri. Skal tro hvor mye som må tas igjen i de neste månedene på tur...?? På den annen side var det litt godt å slenge kjeldressen i vaskemaskinen og vaske hendene skikkelig også... Har blitt noen timer siste ukene...

Kommer til å bli vesentlig mindre trafikk på garasjesidene mine det neste året eller to... Skal oppdatere om jeg finner på noen sprell underveis. Har da noen planer MEN!
