Har lest meg gjennom "prosjektet" ditt og det ser helt rått ut:)
Jeg leser at du er noe skeptisk til varmeutvikling i eksos fra dieselvarmeren... Husker at vi monterte noe som het "Buffer-pack" på eksospottene når vi kjørte motorcross for å dempe lyd og varmeisolere. Kanskje det kunne vært noe her? de har det hos Snellingen motor i Oslo vet jeg:)

Ellers håper jeg dere får en strålende biltur etterhvert...

alt høres veldig bra ut her, vi gleder oss på deres vegne. gleder meg til å se litt fra opplevelsene deres. bare tenkte på en ting er bilen din automat, bare tenkte på om det hadde vært lurt oog hatt med en ekstra starter du er jo veldig ute å kjøre om den ryker og det er Automat gir.
Om du ønsker det kan du få låne en ekstra starter til turen, har nemelig en sån liggende. dynamo også som pleier være det neste på listen?????+

Hei folkens!

Er en stund siden jeg var innom garasjetråden min, og nå ser jeg jaggu meg at jeg har gått glipp av et par innlegg. Ikke meningen å overse noen, altså..

Rakk ikkke å forske mer på varmeren før jeg forlot gamlelandet, men så langt som jeg fikk prøvd ser det ut til at varme ikke er noe problem. Vil nok følge litt ekstra med, og blir det noe tull får jeg se om jeg finner noe slags isolering her i Statene. Takk for tips!

Og jeg var faktisk innom Nissan for å sjekke delepriser på både starter og alternator. Børstekit var bare å glemme, finnes ikke. Ny starter og alternator ligger på ca 13-14 tusen hver. Ble med andre ord skrinlagt, og jeg tar en ny sjekk på priser når jeg kommer til Canada. Er det like ille der blir det muligens droppet til fordel for en satellitt telefon og "uthentingsforsikring"...

Kan være at jeg tar turen hjem til norge en gang i sommer, så har du en starter liggende så kan det være interessant. Dog ikke om den kommer fra våre venner i Danmark...

Utrolig hyggelig å handle utstyr i USA, gitt... Splitter ny Warn 9.5 XP koster den nette sum av 8000 ferdig montert i ARB fangeren!

Fikk også handlet meg et par d-sjakkkel fester da de originale tauekrokene ble ofret til fordel for fremre beskyttelsesplate.

Hei igjen,

Noen som kjenner til andre sast stabiliserings systemer enn Coil-Rite og AirLift? Har undersøkt litt muligheten for å putte noen av disse inni fjærene mine, men det ser sålangt ut som ingen av disse har bag'er som er høye nok for fjærene mine. De høyeste er ca 11 tommer, noe som er nesten nok for en original Patrol... Jeg trenger noen som er ca 16 tommer (diam er 5,5 tommer).

Kan se ut som det ett og slett er for høyt for denne type air bag'er. Lurer derfor på om noen har sett andre løsninger for å stabilisere en høy bil med mye last. Vet ikke om jeg gidder å begynne med skreddersøm og sveising av fester på rama etc. I hvert fall ikke før det er HELT nødvendig, og jeg tror egentlig ikke jeg kommer dit... Da er jo feks nye fjærer en løsning. Men Coil-Rite var spes interessant pga muligheten for å kjøre bag'ene uavhengig av hverandre (og hyggelig pris..), feks for å stabilisere i en bratt sidehelling. Ideer mottas med takk!!

Siden du muligens ikke bruker det maximale av ut og innfjæringen så har du muligheter for å klosse innvendig i fjæra og da blir de sikkert lange nok.
men har du beholt stabbstagene ????
Det vanskeligste er altid å lage en løsning som er opptimal både på veg og offroad.
Men har du justerbare dempere hele vegen rundt??
men stabbstagene er veldig avgjørende og viktige når en skal kjøre mye veg.

Det kan jo være en nødløsning om den siger ytterligere. Ser foreløpig ut som det har stabilisert seg, men meg skulle helst hatt den litt opp igjen. Kan rett og slett se ut som "Heavy Duty" ikke heavy nok... Ellers så har jeg rett og slett med meg for mye turutstyr! I så fall må det bli nye fjærer.

Har tilpasset stabstaget bak, men må inrømme at jeg kjører uten stag forran. Er ikke helt happy med det, så vi får se om ikke det skjer noe på skreddersømsfronten der også etterhvert. Kan justere alle dempere, og de er stramme som f.. når jeg kjører vei. Åpner de når jeg skal ut og leke (evt om det er dårlig vei).

alle fjærer setter seg, og de fungerer somregelt best når de har satt seg litt.Du kan bare legge på ploritan foringer, da får du tilbake høyden, og fjærene vil fungere veldig bra og bilen føles bedre når de har satt seg litt, på sån kjøring som du skal gjøre , ville jeg brukt stabstag. skal ikke være så latt ser du Så burde du kjøre på en vekt og sjkke hvor mye lass du egentlig har. sjekk okså last pr aksel.

Har ikke skjedd så mye på garasjefronten i det siste, men denne greia her tenkte jeg at jeg måtte dele med andre Patrol-eiere. Som dere vet er ikke Nissan kompatible med OBD-II standarden, og dermed bortimot umulig å koble på ECU kodelesere. Men! For de interesserte finnes det råd! ECUTalk støtter nå ZD30, og jeg tror den leser 2,8'en også. Handler man en kabel av Peter som driver ECUTalk, kobles denne på OBD-II/Consult3 porten under dashboard'et, og så plugger man den rett i bil-laptop'en! Og om man ikke vil ha laptop, kan man kjøpe et et lite display. Utrolig hendig å konne monitorere ALT av data fra ECU'en når man er underveis. Vakkert!

Hei godtfolk!

Jeg ser at det er en stund siden jeg oppdaterte garasjetråden min.....

Noen fikk muligens med seg at jegt hadde en liten biloperasjon oppe i Mexico når jeg hadde besøk av lillebror (med familie) og far, så jeg tenkte jeg skulle poste noen bilder. Har hatt litt problemer med at fjærene mine bak ikke er kraftige nok, så med litt hjelp fra Roger fikk jeg oversendt et par polyurethan klosser som vil holde meg "oppe" noen kilometer til. Ble montert i hyggelig temperatur på Yucatan. Tok også litt bilder.

Fikk doningen litt opp i høyden, og fjærene fikk bytte plass. Jeg tror høyresiden er bittelitt tyngre enn venstre, så den beste fjæren ble satt der.

Dette er den "svake" fjæren, og som dere ser er det en halv runde som muligens har fjæret i meste laget. Litt bekymret for at det kan ha vært noe galt med herdingen. Noen som har noen tanker om dette? Tror det blir nye fjærer i nær framtid. Men foreløpig fungerer klossene meget bra! Løftet meg 30 mm opp igjen. Tusen takk, Roger!!
